EMAN ALI. (b. 1986, UK)

My work interlaces religious, socio-political and consumerist ideologies under the umbrella of sexuality and the performance of gender in the Gulf region, I explore the changing identities of the young Arab male and female and their departure from previous models of representation through a hybrid of artistic expression ranging from image-making to text, light installation and sound.
